Indigo Partners, a Phoenix, US-based private equity and venture capital firm, plans to launch in 2H17 an ultra-low-cost airline in Chile, called JetSMART Airlines, reported Reuters Latin America on 3 February 2017, citing Indigo Partners Founder and Managing Partner William Franke. Specifically, Franke noted the firm chose Chile for the launch given it has bilateral treaties which will allow it to expand its network, as well as economic stability, an expected strong increase of air traffic, and a positive regulatory environment. Indigo Partners invested approximately USD 100m in the new airline.

Indigo Partners, firma de private equity y venture capital con sede en Phoenix, Estados Unidos, planea lanzar en el segundo semestre de 2017 una aerolínea de ultra bajo costo en Chile, llamada JetSMART Airlines, ha publicado Reuters América Latina el 3 de febrero de 2017, citando al fundador y socio director de la firma, William Franke. En concreto, Franke ha señalado que la firma ha elegido Chile para este lanzamiento dado que tiene tratados bilaterales que le permitirán expandir su red, además de estabilidad económica, un fuerte aumento esperado del tráfico aéreo y un ambiente regulatorio positivo. Indigo Partners ha invertido aproximadamente USD 100m en la nueva aerolínea. |
