Ibercaja Banco, a Spain-based financial institution, appointed José Luis Aguirre non-executive president following the resignation of Amado Franco, announced the company in a press release issued on 24 February 2017.

After 17 years as managing director and 13 as president of the company, Franco resigned for personal reasons. Aguirre, until now first vice-president, will take his place. The new president was Ibercaja Managing Director and Ibercaja Banco CEO from 2011 to 2015.

Ibercaja Banco, entidad financiera española, ha nombrado a José Luis Aguirre nuevo presidente no ejecutivo tras la renuncia de Amado Franco, según ha anunciado la compañía en una nota de prensa publicada el 24 de febrero de 2017.

Tras 17 años como director general y 13 como presidente de la compañía, Amado Franco ha renunciado al cargo por motivos personales. Aguirre, hasta ahora vicepresidente primero, ocupará su lugar. El nuevo presidente fue director general de Ibercaja y consejero delegado de Ibercaja Banco de 2011 a 2015.
