International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that the sale of Spanish Government's stakes in Bankia (BME: BKIA) and Banco Mare Nostrum (BMN) will be difficult in the established period, the beginning of 2018, as reported by Efe based on a full annual report on the Spanish economy published by IMF. These stakes are valued at approximately USD 11bn. The reason for this difficulty is that the companies' values are lower than the sale price.

El Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) ha señalado que existen dificultades para el Gobierno de España para vender su participación en las entidades financieras Bankia (BME: BKIA) y Banco Mare Nostrum (BMN) antes del plazo establecido de principios de 2018, según ha reportado Efe apoyándose en el informe completo de revisión anual de la economía española realizado por el FMI. La razón que podría impedir la venta de estas participaciones, valoradas en aproximadamente USD 11.000m, es que las valoraciones de estas entidades están por debajo del precio de venta. |
