Grupo Sonae (Euronext: SON) opened its first children clothing designer store Zippy in Duhok city, Kurdistan, specifically at mall Mazi and in partnership with Arab company Fawaz Alhokair Group. The new store has in excess of 100 m2, and it is part of the company's expansion strategy in the Middle East. Grupo Soanae plans to continue its expansion in the region through franchising.
