Grupo Pinsa, a Mexico-based canned fish producer, wants to take its canned tuna brand Dolores to the United States, reported CNN Expansión on 18 January, 2016, citing managing director of Pinsa División Comercial, Rubén Velázquez.

The decision arises from the recognition given by the World Trade Organization of the right of the Mexican tuna industry to access the US market under the same conditions as other countries.

If it is able to enter the United States, Grupo Pinsa would have access to a market worth USD 2bn, noted Velásquez.

Grupo Pinsa, productora mexicana de pescado enlatado, quiere llevar su marca de atún enlatado Dolores a Estados Unidos, ha publicado CNN Expansión el 18 de enero de 2016, citando al director general de Pinsa División Comercial, Rubén Velázquez.

La decisión surge tras el reconocimiento de la Organización Mundial de Comercio del derecho de la industria atunera mexicana a acceder al mercado estadounidense con las mismas condiciones que otros países.

De poder ingresar a Estados Unidos, Grupo Pinsa tendría acceso a un mercado de USD 2.000m, ha señalado Velásquez.
