Grupo México announced its negotiations to spin off its railway business. The company will transfer part of its assets, liabilities and capital, including shares of Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano (GFM) and Infraestructura y Transporte Ferroviario (ITF) to the new company.

Currently, the railway company is controlled by Grupo México (75%) and by Inbursa (25%), a company owned by Carlos Slim.

Grupo México ha anunciado que está en negociaciones para escindir su negocio ferroviario. Para ello la empresa prevé transferir parte de su activo, pasivo y capital social, incluyendo las acciones representativas del capital social de Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano (GFM) e Infraestructura y Transporte Ferroviario (ITF) a una nueva sociedad.

La compañía ferroviaria está actualimente contralada en un 75% por Grupo México y en un 25% por Inbursa, sociedad propiedad del empresario mexicano Carlos Slim.
