Jumex, a Mexico-based producer and retailer of beverages, decided to close its operations in El Salvador, as published by newspaper Prensa Gráfica on 20 January 2016. The factory is located in Nejapa, San Salvador. It will continue to produce until 26 February, and from that date, all the operations in Central America will be transferred to Mexico again. This decision is part of the company's reorientation strategy at a regional level, which also includes the focus for the new investments.

El mexicano grupo Jumex, empresa dedicada a la la elaboración y venta de bebidas, ha decidido retirar sus operaciones de El Salvador, según ha informado el diario Prensa Gráfica el 20 de enero de 2016. La planta, que se encuentra en el municipio de Nejapa, departamento de San Salvador, mantendrá la producción hasta el 26 de febrero y, a partir de ese periodo, todas las operaciones de Centroamérica que se han llevado a cabo en esta región se volverán a concentrar en México. La decisión obedece a una reorientación estratégica de la empresa a nivel regional, en la que se está evaluando el rumbo de nuevas inversiones. |
