Grupo Gigante, a Mexico-based supermarket chain, is studying continuing its expansion throughout Latin America, where it is already present in seven countries, reported El Universal on 24 June, 2016, citing chairman of the board, Ángel Losada. Losada noted the company wants to continue growing in the next five-year period in its Office Depot, Petco, and RadioShack formats. However, he added the group is cautious about its growth in Latin America, given the different features of each market. The executive also explained that Grupo Gigante sees opportunities to continue its expansion in Mexico with its different store formats.

Grupo Gigante, gestora mexicana de una cadena de supermercados, está estudiando continuar su expansión por Latinoamérica, donde ya está presente en siete países, ha publicado El Universal el 24 de junio de 2016, citando al presidente del consejo de administración de la empresa, Ángel Losada. Losada ha señalado que la empresa quiere seguir creciendo en los próximos cinco años en su formato de Office Depot, Petco y RadioShack. No obstante, ha añadido que el grupo es cauteloso en su crecimiento por Latinoamérica, dadas las particularidades de cada mercado.
