Greylock Capital, a New York, US-based investment company, is said to be interested in acquiring Argentine brand of canned foods Alco from Grupo Canale, owned by the Carballo family, reported Los Andes on 13 February 2017, citing sources familiar with the negotiations. According to the report, the signing of the agreement between the Carballo family and Greylock is expected in March. Alco has been in a financial crisis for over six years, which led it to bankruptcy proceedings, and has a debt with the government of the province of Mendoza of around USD 7m, the report stated.

Según lo publicado, la firma del acuerdo entre la familia Carballo y Greylock se esperaría en marzo.
