Ministry of Mines and Energy of Brazil is studying the possibility of opening nuclear power generation market to the private sector, to meet future demand for electricity, as published by Valor Econômico on 21 October 2015,. According to the news, Federal Government is considering a partnership between private and state-owned companies engaged in construction of nuclear plants, except enriched uranium, fuel for nuclear thermal plants. Also according to the news, Brazil will need nuclear power. And, until 2030, the Brazilian government estimates that four new nuclear power plants will be operational, two in the Northeast and two in the Southeast, each with a generation capacity of 1,000 MW.

O Ministério de Minas e Energia do Brasil estuda abrir o mercado de geração de energia nuclear à iniciativa privada, para atender à demanda futura por eletricidade, segundo publicou o Valor Econômico em 21 de outubro de 2015. De acordo com a notícia, o Governo Federal estuda a parceria entre empresas privadas e estatais na construção de empreendimentos nucleares, exceto no beneficiamento do urânio, combustível das térmicas nucleares. Ainda de acordo com a publicação, o Brasil vai precisar de energia nuclear, e até 2030, o Governo brasileiro prevê que quatro novas centrais nucleares entrem em funcionamento, duas no Nordeste e duas no Sudeste, cada uma com capacidade de geração de 1.000 MW. |
