Minister of Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC), Eliseu Padilha, announced the government plans privatization of all profitable airports held by Infraero by 2018, excluding only Congonhas in São Paulo, Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro and Manaus in the Amazon.

According to the minister, wherever this process is not feasible, those airports will be operated by Infraero. In addition, he rules out public-private partnerships (PPPs) for terminals with revenues that don't cover expenses.

O ministro da Secretaria de Aviação Civil (SAC), Eliseu Padilha, anunciou que o governo concederá à iniciativa privada todos os aeroportos rentáveis da Infraero até o ano de 2018, excluindo apenas Congonhas no estado de São Paulo, Santos Dumont no Rio de Janeiro e o aeroporto de Manaus no Amazonas.

De acordo com o ministro, onde a concessão não for viável, os aeroportos serão operados pela Infraero. Além disso, ele descartar as parcerias público-privadas (PPPs) para os terminais cujas receitas não cubrem as despesas.
