Government of Bogotá and EEB sign agreement for share sale

The Department of Finance of Bogota, Colombia, signed an agreement with Empresa de Energía de Bogotá (EEB) (BVC:EEB), a Colombia-based energy production and transportation company, to manage the sale of a 20% stake held by the government of Bogota in the company, announced EEB in a filing published by regulator Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia on 10 February 2017. According to the report, the government of Bogota will assume all the expenses and costs of the sale and would be left with 56.27% of EEB, retaining its majority stake. The COP 3.5bn that Bogota would receive from the sale of 20% of EEB will be used to leverage infrastructure projects within the capital as ALO, Calle 13 y Calle 63.

La Secretaría de Hacienda del gobierno de Bogotá, Colombia, ha suscrito un Acuerdo con Empresa de Energía de Bogotá (EEB) (BVC:EEB), dedicada a la producción y transporte de energía, con el objetivo de gestionar la venta del 20% de participación que tiene el gobierno de Bogotá sobre la empresa, según ha anunciado EEB en un hecho relevante remitido a la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia el 10 de febrero de 2017. De acuerdo con la información, el gobierno de Bogotá asumirá todos los gastos y costos de la venta del 20% de su participación en la EEB y quedaría con el 56,27% de participación en la misma, manteniendo su posición mayoritaria. Los COP 3,5bn que recibiría Bogotá por la venta del 20% de la EEB se utilizarán en apalancar proyectos de infraestructura dentro de la capital como la ALO, la Calle 13 y la Calle 63. |
