Government of Argentina authorizes sale of 17 state-owned properties

| The government of Argentina announced the authorization of the sale of 17 state-owned properties starting Septemeber 2016 to obtain new resources for public funds, in a decree published by official gazette Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina on 22 August 2016. Specifically, President Mauricio Macri authorized the agency of administration of state-owned assets (AABE) to sell the properties, which range from football fields and government offices to a night club. According to a report by La Nación published on 22 August, the head of the AABE, Ramón Lanús, noted the properties are not being used or have expired concessions under their market value. The assets will be auctioned by Banco Ciudad starting September and are located in the city of Buenos Aires, La Plata, La Matanza, San Isidro, and General Pueyrredón. 
                                                                                                                            (content in spanish) El gobierno de Argentina ha anunciado la autorización de la enajenación de 17 inmuebles del estado nacional a partir de septiembre de 2016 para obtener nuevos ingresos para las arcas públicas, en un decreto publicado por el Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina el 22 de agosto de 2016. En concreto, el presidente Mauricio Macri ha autorizado a la Agencia de Administración de Bienes del Estado (AABE) para enajenar estos inmuebles, que incluyen desde complejos de canchas de fútbol y oficinas gubernamentales hasta un boliche. Según ha informado La Nación el 22 de agosto, el titular de la AABE, Ramón Lanús, ha señalado que las propiedades están en desuso o tienen concesiones vencidas por debajo de su valor de mercado. Los activos serán subastados por el Banco Ciudad a partir de septiembre y se encuentran en Capital Federal, La Plata, La Matanza, San Isidro y General Pueyrredón. |
