Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), a New York-based financial institution, is accelerating the sale of Spain-based Redexis Gas and could close the deadline so that interested groups send final deals until next Monday, reported Expansión on 10 January 2017, citing financial sources.

The institution, which controls Redexis through GS Infrastructure Partners, expects to close the transaction by March. So far, there are two large consortiums interested, one represented by China Investment Corporation (CIC), along with Borealis Infrastructure and Allianz (NYSE:GS), and another headed by Canada-based fund CPPIB together with Australia-based First State.

Redexis is the third largest network of gas distribution in Spain with over 660,000 gas distribution points and nearly 9,000 kilometers of network. The estimated value of the transaction varies between EUR 2bn and EUR 2.5bn.

Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) ha acelerado en la venta del grupo español Redexis Gas y podría cerrar el plazo para que los grupos interesados manden ofertas definitivas el próximo lunes, según ha informado Expansión el 10 de enero de 2017, citando a fuentes financieras.

La firma, que controla Redexis a través de GS Infrastructure Partners, prevé que el traspaso de la compañía se cierre durante el mes de marzo. Hasta el momento hay dos grandes consorcios interesados, uno representado por China Investment Corporation (CIC), junto con Borealis Infrastructure y Allianz (NYSE: GS), y el otro encabezado por el fondo canadiense CPPIB junto al australiano First State.
