Glencore, a Switzerland-based mining company, may be in talks with several companies to reach streaming agreements on three South American copper mines, reported Reuters Canada on 16 September, 2015, citing two sources familiar with the talks. The companies are Canada-based precious metal royalties manager, Franco-Nevada (NYSE/TSX:FNV), and mining companies, Silver Wheaton (NYSE/TSX:SLW), and Osisko Gold Royalties (TSX:OR), and US-based precious metal royalties manager, Royal Gold (NASDAQ:RGLD), the report stated. Streaming transactions entail the sale of part of the future production of a mine. The mines in question are Antamina and Antapaccay, in Peru, and Collahausi, in Chile. According to the report, Glencore could include other mines in the agreements.
