Former president of Banco Central, Arminio Fraga, is negotiating with JP Morgan to reacquire a controlling stake in Gávea Investimentos, sold in 2010 (see related transaction). Talks are still at a preliminary stage, according to sources. Gávea Investimentos has BRL 18.1bn under management and 139 employees in its offices in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
