Gamesa (BME: GAM) may be considering ending its alliance with France-based Areva (EPA: AREVA), which was created in 2015 and focused on offshore wind turbines (see related transaction), which would imply that one of the parties would acquire the stake held by the other one in the joint venture, named Adwen Offshore, as published by newspaper Expansión on 1 April 2016, citing financial sources. Gamesa's objective is to accelerate negotiations for a merger with wind asset division of Siemens (ETR: SIE), a deal valued at EUR 13bn. The alliance between Gamesa and Areva, a France-based state-owned group with 80% of the capital, is the only obstacle in the negotiations with Siemens. If this is resolved, negotiations could conclude this month.

Gamesa (BME: GAM) podría haber planteado al grupo francés Areva (EPA: AREVA) deshacer la alianza que ambos grupos crearon en 2015 para el negocio de aerogeneradores offshore en el mar (ver transacción relacionada), lo que implicaría que alguna de las partes debería comprar la participación de la otra en la joint venture, denominada Adwen Offshore, según ha publicado el diario Expansión el 1 de abril de 2016, basándose en fuentes financieras. El objetivo de Gamesa sería acelerar las negociaciones para su fusión con la división de activos eólicos de Siemens (ETR: SIE), en una operación valorada en EUR 13.000m. La alianza de Gamesa con Areva, grupo controlado por el Estado francés con más del 80%, es el único obstáculo que quedaría en las negociaciones entre el grupo español y Siemens. De resolverse, las negociaciones podrían completarse este mismo mes. |
