Flip Flop Shops, a US-based sandals and footwear sale company, will open its first franchise in Puerto Rico, reported El Nuevo Día on 15 October, 2015. The first store will be opened on 5 November in San Juan de Puerto Rico, will be 232,000 square meters and will have an investment of USD 500m. Of the inventory, 60% will be women's footwear and the remaining 40%, men's and children's footwear. A second store is expected to be opened on 3 December and a third one, in 2016. Currently, Flip Flop Shops is one of the fastest growing franchises in the United States. It operates over 100 stores in 30 states, as well as in Curacao, Guam, the Virgin Isles, and Canada.

La empresa estadounidense Flip Flop Shops, dedicada a la comercialización de sandalias y calzado, abrirá su primera franquicia en Puerto Rico, según el Diario El Nuevo Día, publicado el 15 de octubre de 2015. La primera tienda se inaugurará el 5 de noviembre en San Juan de Puerto Rico, contará con 232.000 m2 y tendrá una inversión de USD 500m. El 60% de inventario estará destinado al mercado femenino y el 40% restante, masculino e infantil. Se espera que la segunda tienda tenga apertura el 3 de diciembre, y una tercera, para 2016. Hoy Flip Flop Shops es una de las franquicias de mayor crecimiento en Estados Unidos. Tiene un centenar de tiendas en más de 30 estados, así como en Curazao, Guam, Islas Vírgenes y Canadá. |
