A companhia fabricante e vendedora de veículos Fiat Chrysler Automobile (Blt:FTSE) (NYSE:FCAU) que instalou recentemente uma fábrica no estado brasileiro de Pernambuco, pretende estabelecer parceiras com aproximadamente 20 das suas fornecedoras para que sejam instaladas num raio de 15 - 20Km da nova fábrica da Fiat para criar um parque de produção na região. O investimento previsto para poder concretizar o empreendimento está avaliado em BRL 450m. A notícia foi divulgada pelo jornal Valor Econômico no dia 28 de maio de 2015.

Até agora desses potenciais 20 fornecedores só 11 manifestaram seu interesse no projeto, entre eles as companhias Autometal, Benteler e Baterías Moura.
