US-based oil company Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM) is in advanced talks with the Italian company Eni (NYSE: ENI; Blt: ENI) to buy a minority stake in new natural gas discoveries, in a Mozambique offshore, reported Sapo on 28 July, 2016, citing two unidentified sources. The Exxon CEO, Rex Tillerson, discussed the deal with the Mozambican Head of State, Filipe Nyusi, last week in Maputo, citing one of the sources, the report noted. Exxon is also in talks with the US-based company Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC) to acquire a stake in Área 1 in the Rovuma Basin in Mozambique, the same sources noted.

A petrolífera norte-americana Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) está em conversações avançadas com a empresa italiana Eni (NYSE:ENI;Blt:ENI) para comprar uma participação minoritária em novas descobertas de gás natural no offshore de Moçambique, segundo publicou o Sapo em 28 de julho de 2016, citando duas fontes não identificadas. Segundo a notícia, o Presidente Executivo da Exxon,Rex Tillerson, discutiu o negócio com o chefe de Estado moçambicano, Filipe Nyusi, na semana passada em Maputo, de acordo com uma das fontes.
