Engie Energía Chile (BCS: ECL), empresa dedicada a la generación y distribución de electricidad, gas natural y energía renovable, ha registrado un aumento del 171% en sus utilidades durante 2016, comparado con el mismo periodo de 2015, ha informado la compañía en un informe de cuentas publicado el 1 de febrero de 2017.

En concreto, la compañía ha obtenido ganancias por USD 225m en 2016 y ha explicado que los resultados se deben a la mejora de su utilidad operacional y a la venta del 50% de las acciones de Transmisora Eléctrica del Norte (TEN) (ver transacción relacionada).
