Enel (BIt:ENEL), an Italy-based producer and distributor of electricity and natural gas, reaffirmed its interest in acquiring assets in Brazil, as published by Reuters on 2 February 2016, citing the company's spokesperson.

According to the news, the company believes there will be acquisition opportunities in the electricity distribution segment in Brazil, and it will stay on the look out.

According to the spokesperson. "A number of distribution assets is up for sale in Brazil, at the moment, and it is widely known that Enel is interested in grabbing these opportunities in the country".
