Synopsis

According to analysts, Empresas ICA, a Mexico-based infrastructure company, could sell assets in highway Merida - Cancun, known as Autopista Mayab, to reduce its leverage level and obtain liquidity.

ICA invested MXN 870m to acquire the consortium that manages this highway, in 2008. Since then, it has invested MXN 5.30bn in the highway concession, which will end in 2050.

Empresas ICA, compañía mexicana de infraestructuras, podría vender activos como la carretera Mérida - Cancún, conocida como la Autopista del Mayab con el objetivo de reducir su nivel de apalancamiento y obtener liquidez, según comentan algunos analistas.

La constructora mexicana invirtió MXN 870m en la adquisición del consorcio que gestiona la autopista en 2008 y desde entonces ha realizado una inversión de MXN 5.370m en la concesión, que concluye en 2050.
