El grupo peruano Grupo Brescia ha mostrado su interés en comprar el 100% de la cadena chilena Construmart, dedicada a la fabricación y venta de materiales de construcción, que está en manos de Grupo SMU. El importe que podría pagar se estima en alrededor de USD 300m.

Grupo SMU puso a la venta Construmart en julio de 2013 y hasta la fecha también ha recibido una posible oferta del peruano Grupo Enfoca. La chilena pretende cerrar la venta de la entidad antes de 2014.
