El IFC negocia con la española Grup Marítim TCB la financiación de una terminal de contenedores en Guatemala

La institución estadounidense International Finance Corporation (IFC), dependiente del Banco Mundial, está negociando con la española Grup Marítim TCB la financiación de la primera etapa del proyecto de construcción de la terminal de contenedores en la región guatemalteca de Quetzal, por un importe de USD 45m aproximadamente.

La inversión total de la obra asciende a USD 160m y una vez finalizado tendría capacidad para manejar 700.000 contenedores portuarios al año. La empresa española desarrollará la obra portuaria a través de su filial guatemalteca Terminal de Contenedores Quetzal.
