The governments of Ecuador and El Salvador signed an Economic Complementation Agreement (ACE) with a partial reach, following the closing of negotiations, reported El Universo on 6 September 2016, citing Salvadorian Presidente Salvador Sánchez Cerén. Sánchez noted the aim of the agreement is to increase cooperation, improve Ecuadorian investment in El Salvador, and have more goods for trade. Specifically, the agreement will feature over 200 products from each country for trade, including cacao, articles for dressmaking, plastic footwear, nectars, and flowers. Additionally, Ecuador will provide technical agricultural assistance to El Salvador.

Los gobiernos de Ecuador y El Salvador han firmado un Acuerdo de Alcance Parcial de Complementación Económica tras el cierre de negociaciones, ha publicado El Universo el 6 de septiembre de 2016, citando al presidente de El Salvador, Salvador Sánchez Cerén. Sánchez ha señalado que el objetivo de este acuerdo es aumentar la cooperación, mejorar la inversión ecuatoriana en El Salvador y contar con más productos para comercializar. En concreto, se incluirán más de 200 artículos de cada país para el comercio, entre ellos cacao, artículos de confección, calzado de plástico, néctares y flores. Además, Ecuador brindará asistencia técnica agrícola a El Salvador. |
