Ecopetrol wins tender of four offshore blocks in the United States

Ecopetrol America, a Texas, US-based subsidiary of Colombia-based state-owned oil company, Ecopetrol (BVC:ECOPETROL; NYSE:EC; TSX:ECP), won a tender for four offshore oil blocks, announced Ecopetrol in a press release issued on 23 November, 2015. Three of the blocks, 494, 495, and 539, were awarded to a consortium between Ecopetrol America and Texas-based Anadarko US Offshore, and are located in the Garden Banks area of the Gulf of Mexico, opposite Texas. The consortium submitted a joint bid for USD 2.4m. The last block, 685, is located in the East Breaks are of the Gulf. Ecopetrol America holds 100% of the rights of the block and submitted a bid for USD 2.8m.

Ecopetrol America, filial estadounidense de Ecopetrol (BVC:ECOPETROL; NYSE:EC; TSX:ECP), petrolera estatal colombiana, ha ganado una licitación de cuatro bloques petrolíferos offshore, ha anunciado Ecopetrol en una nota de prensa emitida el 23 de noviembre de 2015. Tres de los bloques, los 494, 495 y 539, fueron adjudicados en consorcio con la estadounidense Anadarko US Offshore, y están ubicados en el área Garden Banks del Golfo de México, frente a Texas. El consorcio ha presentado una oferta total de USD 2,4m. El último bloque, el 685, está ubicado en el área East Breaks del Golfo. Ecopetrol America posee el 100% de los derechos del bloque y ha presentado una oferta de USD 2,8m. |
