Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), based in Atlanta, Georgia, and Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV), based in Dallas, Texas, announced they filed applications to begin operating daily direct flights to Havana, Cuba, in two press releases issued on 2 March, 2016. Delta seeks to launch daily flights from Atlanta, New York, Orlando, and Miami; while Southwest wants to operate daily flights from three cities in Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Tampa Bay, and Orlando, as well as flights to Varadero and Santa Clara. The U.S. government announced the resumption of flights to Cuba in February 2016 (see related intel).

Las aerolíneas Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), con sede en Atlanta, Georgia, y Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV), con sede en Dallas, Texas, han anunciado la presentación de solicitudes para comenzar a operar vuelos directos diarios a La Habana, Cuba, en dos notas de prensa publicadas el 2 de marzo de 2016. Delta busca inaugurar vuelos diarios desde Atlanta, Nueva York, Orlando y Miami; mientras que Southwest quiere operar vuelos diarios desde tres ciudades de Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Tampa Bay y Orlando, además de vuelos hacia Varadero y Santa Clara.
