A group of Catalonia-based families could be studying possibly selling their 15% stake in Danone España to France-based Danone, owner of 75.6% of the capital, for EUR 799m, according to company's quarterly report.

Danone could be interested in exercising it preferential right and acquire a 100% stake in Danone España's share capital, in the next few years, but would not be willing to accept the value offered by the families.

Un grupo de familias catalanas propietarias del 15% de la compañía Danone España estarían estudiando la posibilidad de vender dicho porcentaje a la matriz francesa Danone, propietaria del 75,6% de la española, por un importe de EUR 799m, según el informe trimestral de la compañía.

La francesa estaría interesada en ejercer su opción de compra preferente y adquirir en los próximos años hasta el 100% de Danone España, pero no estaría dispuesta a aceptar el importe por el que quieren vender los particulares.
