Dalian Wanda Group, controlled by Chinese entrepreneur Wang Jianlin, could be interested in looking for buyers for Edificio España and, consequently, it could be negotiating with several real estate companies, such as Knight Frank, JLL and Aguirre Newman, among others, as published by newspaper Cinco Días on 27 January 2016. Wang Jianlin acquired Edificio España, in 2014, aiming to demolish it and build a five-star hotel, a shopping mall and luxury homes. According to rumors, because of the Madrid heritage committee's reluctance, Jianlin was forced to maintain the building facade, and Dalian Wanda Group would be evaluating a possible divestment.

La empresa Dalian Wanda Group, propiedad del empresario chino Wang Jianlin, podría estar interesada en buscar compradores para el Edificio España y, en consecuencia, estaría en conversaciones con diversas consultoras inmobiliarias como Knight Frank, JLL y Aguirre Newman, entre otras, según ha publicado el diario Cinco Días el 27 de enero de 2016. El Edificio España fue adquirido por el magnate chino en el año 2014, con el objetivo de demolerlo y construir en su lugar un hotel de cinco estrellas, un centro comercial y viviendas de lujo. Según los rumores, debido a las reticencias de la comisión de patrimonio de Madrid que ha obligado a Jianlin a mantener la fachada del edificio, Dalian Wanda Group estaría evaluando la posibilidad de realizar la desinversión. |
