Synopsis

Conselho Nacional de Desestatização (CND), held by Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, approved operational model and conditions for privatization to be carried out by Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) for the Bridge Presidente Costa e Silva, also known as Rio-Niterói, through a concession.

CND said the concession will have a period of 30 years, renewable for another 30 years, and comprises the section on BR-101/RJ, between access to the bridge and junction with RJ-071 (Red Line). The Government will re-launch bridge concession tender, currently held by CCR, because the contract matures in May.

O Conselho Nacional de Desestatização (CND), vinculado ao Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior, aprovou o modelo operacional e as condições para a desestatização pela Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) da Ponte Presidente Costa e Silva, também conhecida como Rio-Niterói, mediante concessão.

O CND afirmou que a concessão terá um prazo de 30 anos, prorrogáveis por mais 30 anos, compreendendo o trecho que fica na BR-101/RJ, entre o acesso à ponte e o entroncamento com a RJ-071 (Linha Vermelha). O governo vai relicitar a concessão da ponte, hoje detida pela CCR, porque o contrato com a companhia vence em maio.
