Colbún (BCS:COLBUN), a Santiago, Chile-based power generator and distributor, ratified its intention to expand outside of Chile, reported Diario Financiero on 8 July, 2015, citing CEO Thomas Keller. Keller explained that, even though Colbún's plan to acquire Colombia-based state-owned Isagén (BVC:ISAGEN) ran into trouble (see related intel), the company still intends to continue its plans to expand internationally. For this purpose, it is analyzing asset acquisitions in Colombia and Chile. Colbún could be interested in acquiring thermal power plants, the report stated.

Colbún (BCS:COLBUN), generadora y distribuidora de electricidad con sede en Santiago de Chile, ha ratificado su intención de expandirse fuera de Chile, ha publicado Diario Financiero el 8 de julio de 2015, citando a su CEO, Thomas Keller. Keller explicó que, aunque Colbún no haya podido avanzar con la adquisición de la estatal colombiana Isagén (BVC:ISAGEN) (ver intel relacionado), la empresa aún tiene intenciones de continuar con sus planes de expansión internacional, por lo que está analizando la compra de activos en Colombia y Perú. Según lo publicado, Colbún estaría interesada en adquirir centrales térmicas. |
