City Express (BMV:HCITY), a Mexico City-based hotel operator, is seeking to expand to five new Latin American countries through a franchise model, reported El Financiero on 30 November 2016, citing City Express Director of Franchise Development Carlos Adams. Specifically, Adams noted the company would like to launch operations with franchises, under which a third party provides the investment and City Express, the brand and operation, in Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, and Ecuador. En concreto, Adams ha señalado que a la empresa le gustaría llegar con sus franquicias, en las que terceros aportan la inversión y City Express, la marca y la operación, a Guatemala, El Salvador, Panamá, Perú y Ecuador.
