Citigroup (NYSE:C), a New York-based financial institution, has canceled the sale of its commercial and retail banking unit in Colombia, announced Citibank Colombia in a filing submitted to regulator Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia on 24 November 2016. Specifically, Citigroup decided to retain that business unit, though it does not rule out analyzing a potential sale in the future. Citigroup confirmed the sale of the retail banking unit of its subsidiaries in Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil in February 2016 (see related intel).

Citigroup (NYSE:C), entidad financiera con sede en Nueva York, ha decidido cancelar el proceso de venta de la banca comercial y de consumo de Citibank Colombia, ha anunciado Citibank Colombia en un hecho relevante publicado por la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia el 24 de noviembre de 2016. En concreto, Citigroup ha decidido conservar esa unidad de negocio, aunque no descarta analizar una posible venta en un futuro. Citigroup había confirmado la venta de la banca minorista de sus filiales en Colombia, Argentina y Brasil en febrero de 2016 (ver intel relacionado). |
