Chile-based Copec could use the energy reform to expand in Mexico

Copec podría aprovechar la reforma energética para ampliar su negocio en México

With the energy reform in Mexico, many Chilean companies could be looking at business opportunities, said Bernardo Morelos-Zaragoza, the president of Chamber for Mexican Chilean Integration (Cicmex).

Morelos-Zaragoza said one of the companies that could be keen on entering the fuel distribution market in Mexico towards 2018, would be Copec, an industrial group controlled by Grupo Angelini. According to Comex's president, other engineering companies could also be interested in investing in Mexican mining and energy sector.

Con la reforma energética mexicana, muchas compañías chilenas estarían interesadas en las oportunidades comerciales que dicha reforma ofrece, según ha comunicado el presidente de la Cámara de Integración Chileno Mexicana (Cicmex), Bernardo Morelos-Zaragoza.

Morelos-Zaragoza ha asegurado que una de las empresas que estaría dispuesta a entrar en la distribución de combustibles en México hacia el 2018, sería Copec, holding industrial controlado por el Grupo Angelini. Según el presidente de Cicmex, otras compañías de ingeniería también estarían interesadas en invertir en el área minera y energética mexicana.
