Cencosud (BCS:CENCOSUD), a Santiago, Chile-based retail store operator, is said to be in talks over an alliance with Canada-based financial entity Scotiabank (TSX/NYSE:BNS) for the development of credit cards in Colombia and Perú, reported Diario Financiero on 30 October, 2015, citing sources familiar with the talks. In Colombia, Cencosud already has a partnership with Banco Colpatria (BVC:CLP), a Scotiabank subsidiary, which expires in 2016. The Chile-based company is negotiating the extension of the partnership for a 15-year period and the addition of Peru to the agreement, the report stated.

En Colombia, Cencosud ya cuenta con una asociación con Banco Colpatria (BVC:CLP), filial de Scotiabank, que vence en 2016. La chilena estaría negociando la extensión de la asociación por 15 años y la incorporación de Perú al acuerdo, según lo publicado. |
