America Movil (NYSE: AMX), a Mexico-based telephone operator controlled by Carlos Slim, could be interested in expanding its presence in Europe through its subsidiary Telekom Austria (WB: TKA), with some 60% of the capital, as published by El Financiero on 15 June 2015. Initially, the company would begin increasing its market share and profitability in Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia, which already have 20 million subscribers. In a second phase, Telekom Austria would focus on Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. The third strategic step would be to enter more mature markets such as Germany and Switzerland.

América Móvil (BMV: AMX), compañía de telefonía mexicana propiedad de Carlos Slim, podría estar interesada en ampliar su presencia en Europa a través de Telekom Austria (WB:TKA), de la cual controla casi el 60%, según ha publicado El Financiero en un artículo del 15 de junio de 2015. En un principio, la empresa empezaría aumentando su participación y rentabilidad en los países de Europa del Este, incluyendo a Austria, Bielorrusia, Bulgaria, Croacia, Eslovenia, Macedonia y Serbia, donde ya cuenta con 20 millones de suscriptores. En una segunda fase, la empresa austriaca se centraría en Polonia, República Checa, Hungría y Rumanía. La tercera etapa estratégica sería apostar por mercados más maduros como Alemania y Suiza. |
