| Synopsis |

CSN (BVMF:CSNA3; NYSE:SID), a Brazilian company engaged in steel and infrastructure industry, may have received a merger proposal from Brazil-based TCP, to operate in Sepetiba Tecon, a company that explores Itaguaí port in Rio de Janeiro state, as published by newspaper Valor Econômico, on 20 April 2016. According to the news, with this deal, Sepetiba Tecon would be controlled by CSN and TCP's shareholders. The merger model is interesting for CSN, but the stake percentage each will hold in the new port company, which would create a stronger portfolio, is still in need to equilibrium to take off. CSN could be looking for a partnership to operate in Sepetiba Tecon, since 2015. (see related intel)
