Intel ID : 217592
Synopsis

Brazil-based CSN is operating in two fronts to guarantee its entrance in the American steel market. In its last attempts, the company headed by Benjamin Steinbruch was not successful.

This time, CSN is interested in two factories held by Russian group Severstal, located in the United States. At the same time it is examining factory Gallatin Steel, held by Brazil-based Gerdau and India-based ArcelorMittal. In case CSN attains its objective, it could double its steel production.
