| Synopsis |
|
Vicente Cruz, a partner of Norte Sur group and former owner of Banco del Desarrollo, is disputing the acquisition of Chile-based Banco París with China-based Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), thus marking his return to the business after selling his stake in Banco del Desarrollo to Scotiabank in 2007, reported Diario Financiero on 3 September, 2015. Cruz's interest hasn't diminished after the five-year period keeping him from returning to the business expired. Thus, he requested a two-week extension to the original deadline to submit bids, which expired last week, while the bank's due diligence is closing. Regarding the price, even though the company has an internal value, it expects interested parties to submit their own bids. The entity launched the sale process months ago (see related intel).
(content in spanish)
