Brazilian Government is studying ways to change taxation of profits and dividends, as published by newspaper Valor Econômico on 5 February 2016. According to the news, a new proposal may have been sent to the Congress. Companies, mainly service providers, which declare deemed income, are the target in this proposal, and they also report results through traditional accounting. The objective is taxing on the income tax sliding scale a portion of the profits that these companies distribute, based on complete accounting and which was not achieved through deemed income.

O Governo Federal brasileiro estuda mudar a tributação de lucros e dividendos, segundo publicou o Valor Econômico em 5 de fevereiro de 2016. De acordo com a notícia, teria sido encaminhada uma nova proposta para o Congresso Nacional. O alvo são empresas, especialmente as prestadoras de serviço, que declaram pelo lucro presumido, mas também apuram seus resultados pela contabilidade tradicional. O objetivo é tributar na tabela progressiva do Imposto de Renda parte do lucro que essas empresas distribuem com base na contabilidade completa e que não tenha sido alcançado pelo lucro presumido. |
