Brazilian Government could reauction 50 oil and natural gas production assets, currently paralyzed, and at least 16, which stropped throughout 2015, as part of the Ministry of Mines and Energy to reauction the inactive areas, as published by newspaper Valor Econômico on 1 February 2016.

According to the news, citing the Minister of Mines and Energy, the companies that will not resume operations, within six months, will have to return the concessions.

In addition, the Government is also studying extending concession contracts for the blocks auctioned in the first ten tenders launched by National Oil Agency ANP.

O Governo Federal brasileiro poderá relicitar 50 campos de produção de óleo e gás natural parados e ao menos 16 foram interrompidos ao longo de 2015 dentro do plano do Ministério de Minas e Energia de leiloar novamente as áreas inativas, segundo publicou o Valor Econômico em 1º de fevereiro de 2016.

De acordo com a notícia que cita ao Ministro de Minas Energia, as empresas que não retomarem as operações em até seis meses terão que devolver as concessões.

Além disso, o governo brasileiro também estuda prorrogar os contratos de concessão para blocos licitados nas dez primeiras rodadas da Agência Nacional do Petróleo (ANP).
