Brazilian Government could be considering the possibility of auctioning IRB-Brasil Resseguros, as published by newspaper Exame on 5 April 2016. According to the news, the auction could take place to replace an initial proposal of an Initial Public Offering of shares. The IPO of the largest insurance company in Brazil was scheduled for last year, but was suspended due to lack of good market conditions in the middle of an economic crisis (see related transaction). Now the government considers changing the modality.

O Governo Federal brasileiro estaria estudando a viabilidade de fazer uma venda em leilão da IRB-Brasil Resseguros, segundo publicou a Exame no dia 5 de Abril de 2016. Segundo a notícia, o leilão poderia acontecer em substituição à proposta inicial de realizar uma oferta pública de ações (IPO) na Bolsa. A operação de abertura de capital da maior resseguradora do país estava prevista para ser realizada no ano passado, mas foi suspensa por falta de condições favoráveis do mercado em meio ao agravamento da crise econômica (ver transação relacionada). Agora, o governo avalia mudar a modelagem. |
