After a series of successful bets in the education sector, economist Paulo Guedes, one of the founders of Pactual, chose its new target - medical education. Led by Guedes, Bozano investment group is completing a fund with USD 800m, which had been announced in July 2014. (See related Radar) Guedes want to create a network of medical schools, acquiring and opening schools. The project even has a nickname: health Ibmec. His previous fund helped drive two successful companies in the sector - Abril Education, engaged in basic education and pre-university, and the higher education network Anima.

Após uma série de apostas bem-sucedidas no setor de educação, o economista Paulo Guedes, um dos fundadores do banco Pactual, escolheu seu novo alvo — o ensino de medicina. Liderado por Guedes, o grupo de investimentos Bozano está concluindo a captação de um fundo de BRL 800m para o setor, a captação foi anunciada em julho deste ano. (Ver Radar relacionado) Guedes pretende criar uma rede de faculdades de medicina, adquirindo e abrindo escolas. O projeto já tem até apelido: Ibmec da saúde. O fundo anterior do investidor ajudou a impulsionar duas empresas de sucesso no setor — a Abril Educação, que atua nos ensinos básico e pré-universitário, e a rede de ensino superior Anima. |
