Barclays is considering suspending the sale of its subsidiary in Spain. The alternative could be reducing significantly its network and concentrate on medium and high-income clients. Client exit, following Barclays announcement of the intention to sell its Spanish subsidiary, caused a decline in value of the entity. The bank considers insufficient the prices managed by potential buyers.

Barclays se plantea dar marcha atrás en la venta de su filial española. La alternativa que está estudiando pasa por llevar a cabo una reducción importante de la red para centrarse en clientes de rentas medias y altas. La salida de clientes a raíz de que Barclays anunciase que pretendía vender su filial española ha provocado un descenso del valor de la entidad, que ve insuficientes los precios que manejan los potenciales compradores. |
