Mexico-based Bancomex announced it will finance traditional operations in the energy sector, mainly oil and gas, due to the energy reform in the country, as reported by the company's CEO, Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, to El Economista in an article published on 24 May 2015. It is estimated that Bancomex will invest MXN 7.09bn.

Bancomext, entidad financiera mexicana, ha anunciado que financiará operaciones tradicionales del sector energía, principalmente en el sector del petróleo y gas, una vez que ha entrado en vigor la reforma energética, según declaraciones del director general de la compañía, Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, a El Economista en un artículo del 24 de mayo de 2015.
