Banco do Brasil created a partnership with Ceitec, a manufacturer of electronic components tied to the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Banco Bradesco (BVMF:BBDC3,BBDC4;NYSE:BBD,BBDO), to reach its objective of creating a national credit card chip, as reported by newspaper Valor Econômico on 18 June 2015, citing Banco do Brasil's vice-president of retail banking, Raul Moreira. This partnership was created to develop a common pattern for digital card purchases. Nowadays, these chips are used in cards supplied by foreign companies.

A entidade estatal financeira Banco do Brasil no contexto de atingir o objetivo que persegue de criar um chip de cartões nacional, estabeleceu parceria com a empresa Ceitec, dedicada à fabricação de componentes eletrônicos e vinculada ao Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia, e com o Banco Bradesco(BVMF:BBDC3,BBDC4;NYSE:BBD,BBDO), segundo declarou ao jornal Valor Econômico o vice-presidente de negócios de varejo do Banco do Brasil, Raul Moreira, no dia 18 de junho de 2015. A parceira com o Banco Bradesco surgiu com a intenção de desenvolver em sinergia um padrão comum para realizar compras com cartão digital. Hoje em dia os chips que são utilizados nos cartões são fornecidos por companhias estrangeiras. |
