Banco de Portugal, a financial entity with headquarters in Lisbon, received four tender offers for the Novo Banco, according to the bank on June 30, 2016. According to the release, the deadline for investors ended on June 30, 2016, fullfilling the eligibility criteria for the strategic sale timely approved and disclosed, to deliver the tender offers of the stake held by the Resolution Fund in the capital of Novo Banco, under the sale process initiated in January 15, 2016. The analysis now begins under the eligibility and selection criteria set out in the specifications, released last April. Subsequently, a decision made on which of the ways - Strategic Sale Procedure or Market Sale procedure - will be followed to complete the process of sale of the stake held by the Resolution Fund in the Novo Banco. The names of the companies that made the proposals were not disclosed, but Cerberus Capital Management, Apollo Global Management, Millennium BCP (Euronext Lisbon: BCP), the Centerbridge Partners, Lone Star, Banco BPI (Euronext Lisbon: BPI) and Santander Totta had manisfested interest in the Novo Banco (see related intels).

O Banco de Portugal, entidade financeira com sede em Lisboa, recebeu quatro propostas de aquisição para o Novo Banco, segundo publicou o banco no dia 30 de junho de 2016. Segundo o Comunicado, terminou no dia 30 de junho de 2016 , o prazo previsto para os investidores, cumprindo os critérios de elegibilidade para a venda estratégica oportunamente aprovados e divulgados, entregarem as propostas de aquisição da participação detida pelo Fundo de Resolução no capital do Novo Banco, no âmbito do processo de alienação iniciado a 15 de janeiro de 2016. A análise agora se inicia à luz dos critérios de admissibilidade e seleção estabelecidos no caderno de encargos, divulgado no passado mês de abril. Posteriormente, será tomada uma decisão sobre qual das vias – Procedimento de Venda Estratégica ou Procedimento de Venda em Mercado – será seguida para concluir o processo de alienação da participação detida pelo Fundo de Resolução no Novo Banco. Os nomes da empresas que fizeram as propostas não foram divulgados, porém o Cerberus Capital Management, a Apollo Global Management, o Millennium BCP (Euronext Lisboa: BCP), a Centerbridge Partners, a Lone Star, o Banco BPI (Euronext Lisboa: BPI) e o Santander Totta, haviam manisfestado o interesse pelo Novo Banco (ver intels relacionado). |
