Banco Ceiss has placed its business outside Castilla y León and Madrid up for sale . The bank hired investment bank N+1 to explore options to sell its non-performing loans in areas considered non-strategic, to banks and international investors.

N+1 divided the transaction, known as Proyecto Toro, in two: on one hand there are 32 offices held by Banco Ceiss, in the regions Brussels demanded closure; and on the other hand a portfolio of non-performing loans valued at approximately EUR 1bn.

Banco Ceiss ha puesto en venta su negocio fuera de Castilla y León y Madrid. La entidad ha contratado al banco de inversión N+1 para que explore la posibilidad de vender a bancos e inversores internacionales su red y los créditos problemáticos de las regiones consideradas no estratégicas.

N+1 ha dividido la operación, conocida como Proyecto Toro, en dos: por un lado las 32 oficinas de Ceiss en los territorios que Bruselas exige cerrar; y por otro, una cartera de créditos problemáticos de casi EUR 1.000m de euros.
