Synopsis

Spain-based Balearia obtained permits from the US Government to operate maritime traffic between Cuba and United States, as reported by Valencia Plaza on 17 July 2015.

In June, Balearia obtained its first license from Bureau of Industry and Security of the United States, which allows the entry and exit of boats to and from Cuba. However, to initiate connections, the company awaits authorization from the Cuban government.

La compañía española Balearia ha obtenido los permisos del gobierno de los Estados Unidos para operar tráfico marítimo entre Cuba y Estados Unidos, según ha publicado Valencia Plaza el 17 de julio de 2015.

En junio, Balearia obtuvo la primera licencia de la Oficina de Industria y Seguridad (Bureau of Industry and Security) de Estados Unidos que permite la entrada y salida de barcos hacia y desde Cuba, sin embargo, para poder iniciar las conexiones, queda pendiente la autorización por parte del gobierno cubano.
